Whether you are training for the next V grade, a sport route, or a big wall, bouldering sessions are a cornerstone of a successful training program. While bouldering sessions may seem simple enough, they are also the place Matt sees people undermine their efforts the most.
This 2.5-hour interactive class is designed to give you the tools to make the most out of your bouldering sessions. Through a mix of lecture, demonstration, and discussion, Matt will cover everything you need to know, including:
- Warming up
- How to fit deliberate skill practice into your sessions
- Boulder problem selection
- Major pitfalls to avoid
Your teacher, Matt Pincus, is the head coach at TrainingBeta. He coaches climbers remotely from all over the world, helping them reach their goals through a mix of training and tactical instruction. Matt has studied the art of training for climbing for years and climbs at the V12 and 5.14 level himself. He's excited to share his knowledge with you through this class.
It is encouraged but not required to be at a bouldering wall during the class so you can practice the skills Matt covers. The day before the class, you will be emailed a link to the Zoom call and you'll receive a recording of the class and the presentation slides after the class. Limited to 10 participants.
